Summary
One of Britain's best-loved actresses, Lynda's voice is as warm and inviting as a log fire. To many she will always be Nurse Gladys in 'Open All Hours', whilst to a generation of children she is Auntie Mabel, flying over the countryside in her spotted aeroplane in 'Come Outside'. Bafta-nominated Lynda is also an acclaimed theatre performer and has appeared in West End shows such as 'Stepping Out' and 'When We Are Married.' Her film career includes work with screen legends such as Woody Allen, John Malkovich and Barbara Streisand. She's no stranger to radio either, and has voiced characters such as Nanny Ogg in the BBC Radio 4 adaptation of the Terry Pratchett novel 'Wyrd Sisters' over the years.
